For as long as your business has been operational, fuelling your fleet of vehicles has been a well understood and traditional process. With commercial & industrial EVs entering the mainstream, there is a paradigm shift on how and when you can “fuel” your vehicle fleet. Attempting to understand which technologies, system architectures, products, and software to adopt can be overwhelming.
Our mission is to simplify and tailor the design, deployment, and support of EV charging solutions to complement how your business operates. We adopt a technology agnostic approach to ensure EV charging solutions are not forced into your operational environment. Instead, your operational environment influences the design of a tailored and modular EV charging solution that scales with your vehicle fleet and business.
Our team of experts thoroughly review, test, and source the latest EV charging technologies and products from across the world to meet the demands of our commercial & industrial clients. Our approach to selecting industry-leading EV charging solutions focuses on product reliability, software, interoperability, technology roadmaps, and total cost of ownership.
Carefully matching the required power of your vehicle fleet to the EV charging infrastructure is critical to avoid costly mistakes. Every commercial & industrial EV has a unique power requirement, every EV fleet has a unique composition, and every business has a different operational schedule. These are the factors we scrutinise to deploy the optimal solution for your business.
Transitioning your vehicle fleet to electric never happens in one day. The transition often starts with a vehicle trial. Subject to a successful trial, you map out a systematic approach to transition your existing vehicle fleet to electric. We specialise in developing tailored EV charging solutions that are scalable and one step ahead of when your next EV arrives.
We undertake a comprehensive site and vehicle fleet assessment plus we simulate your operational schedule, to determine optimal charging power levels, number of connectors, and whether to install distributed versus standalone EV charging systems. We design the ideal solution for your business, and approach the market to negotiate on your behalf to integrate and deliver a comprehensive fixed-price commercial proposal for your approval.
We provide an end-to-end project solution including product procurement, development of safety plans, civil works, electrical installation, commissioning, site acceptance testing, staff training, and handover documentation.
We pride ourselves on managing reliable clean energy assets. We offer a range of service level agreements to proactively monitor and maintain your EV charging system to ensure your vehicles are always energised.
We understand that every business is different when managing infrastructure projects. Some businesses want to own and operate, other businesses simply want an outcome. As part of our Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) portfolio, Jump Energy can deliver an outcome-based Charging-as-a-Service (CaaS) solution aligned to your needs. You simply pay a monthly fee and we’ll manage the rest.
A standalone EV charger typically has a larger footprint, as all the system components are installed within the EV charger. Standalone EV chargers are better suited and more cost effective for sites that need to charge four EVs or less at once.
A distributed EV charger system is better suited for sites that need to charge many EVs at once. The system components for the EV charger system are installed in power cabinets away from the EVs. Power is delivered from the cabinets to the EVs via charging dispensers.
Not necessarily. As an example, each commercial EV on the market has a specific charging curve and maximum charging capacity. If you had a fleet of commercial vans that had a maximum charging capacity of 120kW, using a 400kW charger would be overkill.
AC charging is slower, typically charging vehicles at 7-22kW, and is better suited for longer dwell times (e.g., 8+ hours overnight). DC charging is significantly faster, with charging speeds anywhere from 25kW to 1MW+. The right-sized DC charging solution is essential for commercial operators to match charging times with periods at which the vehicles are not in use (e.g., loading dock time).
Simply selecting and installing high quality charging equipment is not enough to ensure high levels of reliability. EV chargers require proactive monitoring and an ongoing asset lifecycle management solution. Components will fail. The key is to plan for these events and have solutions ready, ideally onsite, to promptly rectify faults when they arise.
